My sister and a team of stylist recently were on Good Day Sacramento for an ambush makeover show. The team styled three ladies. Not being bias yeah right, but I think my sister's style was the best. She styled the black girl who had added extensions. Check out the clip. What do you think??????? Oh, and my sister's name is Miasha not Myesha. lol. It's all good, our parents were creative in naming us and sometimes people get confused. Much Love. My sister has been doing hair professionally for over 10 years. Check out her myspace at myspace.com/miashahair.

Reports are circulating that Janet Jackson was rushed to a Montreal, Canada hospital after becoming ill moments before her schedule concert.  According to statement released by W&W Public Relations, the singer canceled her concert in Montreal on Monday after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital just before show time.  No further information is being reported except that she will hopes to reschedule the show.  I wish her a speedy recovery.

Did anyone watch Desperate Housewives last night? Is it me or was the season opening extremely confusing? First off, I'm not a fan of the five years forward.  I couldn't keep up and throughout the show I didn't really understand what each plot was about.  I definitely was over Susan's character the most.  I don't know what that was about. And, now she's sleeping with the gardener? Also, why did it look like Mike was killed in a car accident at the beginning of the show? Apparently, they got a divorce.  I don't even have words for Nicolette Sheridan's character--what a mess! Now she's married???? Her husband is so creepy!!!!! Don't like this season...something must change or I'm not watching if this continues.  Sorry, but I had to vent.  What did you think about the new season????? Am I overreacting??????

I'm a huge Desperate Housewives fan. Tomorrow at 9 eastern it returns to ABC. I can barely remember the last episode because there was so much going on, but I'm going to watch it again so that I can be up to speed. One thing that is confusing me about the new season is how it'll return tomorrow being five years later. Eva Longoria's character is supposed to have gained weight and has two children, but in real life we all know she's pregs.  There was some weirdness going on with Bre and a guy; who by the way I haven't been able to identify, Edie left Wisteria Lane but has decided to move back... Just too much to keep up with. If you're not a fan of the show, you should be. Will you watch tomorrow??? Who's your favorite character on DH???????

Iconic Actor Paul Newman lost his battle with cancer and has died at age 83.  He is probably best remembered for his role and Oscar win in the movie "The Color of Money" in 1987.  Newman is mourned by his wife of over 50 years Joanne Woodward who is also an actor, five children, and many fans who respected his work.  Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I'm sure everyone watched the PD last night between Barack Obama and John McCain.  There were valid points made between both parties, but there was also a case of shoot the s$#t.  For those who don't know what that means, it's when someone avoids answering directly and instead uses double speak.  I didn't watch the entire debate because I was exhausted and fell asleep, but I must say from what I saw that, I believe that Obama won the debate.  Did you watch the debate?????? Which candidate did you agree with more????????

Kanye West can breathe a sigh of relief because he won't be facing felony charges.  West and his road manager got into a physical altercation with paparazzi on September 11th, 2008 and was arrested on a felony vandalism charge for allegedly damaging a photographer's equipment.  His case is being reviewed by the L.A. City Attorney's Office for a possible misdemeanor, office spokesman Frank Mateljan said.  Kanye West has been through a rough year with the passing of his mother and split from his longtime girlfriend Alexis Phifer, so not being charged I'm sure is great news for him.  Kanye West is currently free on bail.  Do you agree with the decision of not charging him with a felony????

Have you been watching this season of Dancing With The Stars? I'm a huge fan of the show and watch every season.  This season is pretty good, and I think that it will be one of the best.  Who's your favorite contestant? Well, I feel like I'm torn. I truly am a fan of Toni Braxton's, but at the same time I'm rooting for Kim Kardashian and Warren Sapp.  Isn't Warren Sapp like a big ol' cuddly bear???? In honor of DWTS my friends and I had our own dance off, well, at a night club that is.  The club was cool--it wasn't too crowded.  But, around 1 am we all started to get sleepy.  I guess that's how it is when you're in your mid-late twenties, right???????? One day you're all for parting and the next day you can barely stand for longer than a couple hours.  Well, DWTS comes on again this Monday on ABC.  Will you watch??????? Who's your favorite contestant this season, and what's your favorite dance move?????????

There's been speculation that John McCain would not be speaking at the Presidential Debate Friday, and now he has confirmed what several believed.  This comes hours after meeting with President Bush.  "His campaign has said he wouldn't participate unless there was consensus between Congress and the administration" (yahoonews).  Barack Obama still wants to participate in the debate and plans to travel to Mississippi on Friday.  Obama has argued that a future president needs to be able to handle more than one issue, and I agree.  Does John McCain have another reason for not wanting to attend the debate???????????? Thoughts???????????

Last night, I went with a couple of friends to see Bill Belamy at the Laugh Factory in Honolulu.  I was cracking up non-stop from his jokes, but have you ever noticed that when you see a celebrity in person they don't always live up to your expectations? Well, the show took place inside this club, and afterwards Bill walked around the club.  A lot of people went up to him to take pictures and also to his autograph, but I didn't have my camera, so I couldn't take any pictures.  Bill and his entourage were rude, because my friend went up to him and asked for an autograph.  They laughed in his face before finally agreeing.  I don't understand why celebrities think that the general public owe them something.  Do they not realize that without the fans their bills wouldn't get paid???????? Well obviously not, but one thing for sure I went from being a fan to admiring from a far.

This weekend my friends and I went to Hanauma Bay and had the best time ever.  For those of you that have never been to Hawaii it's a beautiful beach park located in the South Shore of Hawaii.  I'm not a swimmer and typically I don't enjoy water activities but yesterday I couldn't resist.  In order to get to the side of the beach we had to walk down a hill.  No lie, I'm still sore.  But, it was beneficial because at least we got a good workout (lol).  We took pictures, so I'll try my best to post soon.  If you're ever in Honolulu, Hawaii you should definitely visit Hanauma Bay.  Do you have a favorite beach park??????

Jada Pinkett Smith will return to her roots of television and star in TNT's drama pilot "Time Heals."  Pinkett Smith first starred on television in "A Different World" but later went on to feature films.  She will star and executive produce the show.  Her character will play a single mother and humble director of nursing at Charlotte Mercy Hospital in North Carolina.  There's no debut date set, but be on the look out.

I've been reading various reports that Hip-Hop crooner Nathaniel Hale aka Nate Dogg has suffered a second stroke and was in serious but now stable condition.  Nate Dogg, who is also Snoop's cousin had his first stroke sometime last year.  The first stroke left him paralyzed on his left side...  I wish Nate Dogg a speedy recovery.

I'm trying to figure out what in the world is going on with Aubrey O'day from Danity Kane.  I just looked at her pictures from complex magazine where she's raunchy posing and I'm trying to figure out when she she changed her image.  I don't recall her being as "open" when the group first started.  Granted, its been a few years but my goodness.  I'm all for individuals being able to express themselves and keep it real, but is this really who she's been all along? One thing for sure, the girl definitely makes sure that her name stays in the media, so I have to give her props on her hustle.  She seems to be the only one from Danity Kane who actually is well known.  In the magazine Aubrey also talked about how she's often misjudged for being a ho, and how she was approached by a basketball player, "I think urban guys look at me and are like, here's the white girl I'm gonna [have relations with].  Like, I met a famous basketball player the other night."  What do you think about Aubrey's image????? Do you think she should tone it down or keep "keeping" it real????

I've come to realize that no matter where I live there will always be discrimination.  Today, I went to fax off a few documents at a local spot (I won't mention the name).  I was a little confused with operating the fax machine and using my credit card to pay, so I asked for customer assistance.  Well, I got assistance, but the sales representative appeared as if he was bothered by helping me.  Which I couldn't understand because the "local" woman next to me had the same issue.  The sales rep stopped helping me with my concern and went over to assist the woman.  I looked around but there was no one willing to help.  So, I politely told the sales rep that I wasn't done with my question and still had a concern.  Two minutes after helping the "local" woman he asked me what I needed.  Quickly and condescendingly he explained the machine to me.  I was a little frustrated that he took time to help the "local" woman with the same question, but rushed in assisting me.  My jaw is still open.  I felt like maybe I should have put my foot down more.  But, I thought that I was by telling him I wasn't done with my question.  I hate to scream racism, but I believe that this was definitely the case.  It was so obvious, especially the way he grabbed my papers.   Why didn't he take time with me? I swear, if I didn't need to use the fax machine I would have opted to go somewhere else.  Well, I have to find a new spot because I refuse to spend another dime at that place.  Have you ever felt like you were discriminated against? How do you handle the situation??????

My friend and I went to the gym last night for our step aerobics class.  It actually was our first step class and it definitely won't be our last.  An hour worth of step was not a joke.  The instructor worked us like we've never been worked.  I was doing pretty good for the first half of class but after the second half, I was struggling.  I looked over at my friend and other people in the class and saw that they were also having difficulty, so I didn't feel like I was just weak.  I swear I must have burned 100 calories from the class. lol.  It was soooo intense.  I didn't work out today because I'm a little under the weather, but tomorrow i'm going to pilates (hopefully, I feel better).  Have you taken step class before? What's your favorite workout????

Did anyone watch the "Stand up to Cancer" fundraiser Friday night? Well, I missed it, but I can't help to comment on Beyonce's new hairdo.  Um, ok! The new Mrs. Beyonce Knowles Carter is set to play Etta James in the soon to be released film Cadillac Records, but did Beyonce forget that she's not Etta James? Don't get me wrong, I like Beyonce and her music but sometimes she takes her role a little too far.  I feel like she did the same thing when she was filming Austin Powers: Gold Member, and when she was filming Dream Girls, all of a sudden she became the character Deena Jones.  I understand an artist wanting to master the craft, but my goodness.  What's next??? She's filming and producing the movie titled Obsessed, so I'm sure she'll have a very interesting look out in public.  What did you think of Beyonce's new do, do you like or not????

Whether you agree or disagree with former Track Star Marion Jones' dishonesty about her use of steroids one thing is for certain that, she was a great track star and one of the best sprinters who won three gold and two bronze medals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.  Jones was released from a San Antonio, Texas federal prison Friday after she completed her six-month sentence.  She will remain on probation at her San Antonio house.  In my eyes Marion Jones will always be a star athlete.  I remember being a Freshmen in college and hearing about Marion Jones winning in Sydney and being so happy for the U.S.A.  I just wish she would have made wiser choices and not used steroids, because the International Olympics Committee removed her name from the records, it's like she never existed.  What do you think about Marion Jones being released from prison??? And, do you agree with the International Olympics Committee for erasing her name out of the record book???

I have decided to start exercising.  I've had a gym membership for a few months, but it wasn't until recent that I decided to get at least two hours of workout in a day.  Yes, you heard me, I will try my hardest to workout seven days a week.  I don't want to lose any weight because I am happy with my newfound curves; however, I do want to tone up and change my lifestyle.  I realize that my metabolism is not like it use to be.  I use to be able to eat whatever I wanted, NEVER exercise and still maintain a size 2 in clothing.  Well, I'm a grown woman now and things change.  Also, diabetes is very rapid among minorities and I know how not taking care of yourself can cause long-term affects---my father suffered for years from diabetes.  What's your workout routine???? Do you have any tips for me with my workout????

Today I checked my alumni email for the first time in several months and there was an email that read, "Did you attend HPU in 1982, if so, you may know Sarah Louise Heath who attend Fall 1982, she is now Sarah Palin Governor of Alaska and Senator John McCain's running mate."  Interesting... so now, both Barack and Sarah have a Hawaii connection.  Did John McCain have other motives in picking her? Surely, he knew this bit of information.

John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his Vice President running mate and while I'm not surprised at his tactics, I am shocked that he picked someone with little to no experience.  Throughout his whole campaign he has talked about Barack Obama and how he has little experience, however, his experience goes beyond Palin.  So, I guess I'm having a difficult time understanding why he would pick a woman who has little foreign policy experience, no education in politics or government affairs, and well... so much more that I won't go into.  If he was going to pick a women, there's millions of women who he could have picked.  Women who are experienced!  Also, I'm all for women having a family and working, but realistically how is she going to take care of our country and her family.  Does McCain realize that presidency is a 24-7 job and that you have to be available at all times? I'm certain that he does, but in picking Palin it doesn't show.  Now, she announces that her 17 year old daughter is five months pregnant.  Um, ok! In my opinion, this shows that she doesn't have as much time as she should have to watch her children.  Trust me, I'm not judging her, because I understand that parents can't monitor their children all the time.  Back to my point about running a country and having a lot of children... Her daughter will need a lot of assistance, she won't have time to help.  And, she can't say that her daughter isn't going to need her help because she will.

I was 17 about 10 years ago, so I understand.  But, parents can educate their children about proper use of protection and birth control.  Oh yea, I forgot--she doesn't believe in birth control.  Yes, birth control can be misused; however, children are having sex and will continue to have sex.  It doesn't help to say, don't use birth control, because many people are not responsible enough to be parents.  Allegedly, her daughter is getting married.  Again, um, ok.  Marriage does not make things better, and I wish people would get an understanding on that.  Forcing something to be perfect is never a good idea because perfection does not exist.  In my opinion, McCain picked Palin in an attempt to capture Hillary Clinton voters, but that will not work.  The reason Clinton voters wanted her in office was based on her years of experience, adamant/ devotion to help with education, health care, etc. and the fact that she is a familiar face.  No one knows Palin, and how has she helped so far, (besides in Alaska)? Clinton actually reached beyond the state of New York.  So far, I don't know Palin and I'm sure that others feel the same way.  Who is she? besides, a hockey mom, a mother of a special needs child... oh, did I mention a mother? Point is, most of what we know is that she's a mother.  And, that she believes in guns.  Question: does she believe in the right to protect or that everyone should be able to own possession? Because, there are a plenty lunatics out there.  Shame on McCain, because in picking someone with little experience whom he doesn't really know, this may actually back fire on him.  If he doesn't know her, how can he expect America to know or understand her.  Americans, want someone to run this country who is the best person for the job.  There's two more months before we all know who our next president of the USA will be.  Trust, the shenanigans will not stop.

Who will you vote for? Well, personally my vote will go to the person who can set out and change the negative and turn it into a positive.  Someone who is adamant about education, health care, jobs, and will bring our troops home.

I'm finally settled on the island of Oahu.  I arrived last Friday and it feels so great to be back.  My first day back I didn't want to rest, although, I was suffering from jet lag.  I hung out with my one of my best friends and went to eat Thai food.  There's this place in Honolulu called Phuket Thai, I swear the food is the best.  The thing that I love the most is that two people can get an entire dinner for under $30.00 and still have food left over.  After that, we walked around the "strip" otherwise known as Waikiki.  We met up with another bestie of mine and her friend--ate and had drinks at Cheesecake Factory.  Yesterday, I got up around 8am and just laid on the beach.  I missed being able to relax and meditate on the beach.  I love being in Hawaii... It's not my official home because I'll always be a Cali girl at heart, but definitely I consider Hawaii my second home.  Where do you consider home?
