Finally, Terrence and Rocsi are back on 106 and Park together.  Doubt that too many people are really interested but after Terrence made some remarks on air to Rocsi she allegedly was offended and walked off.  Rocsi was off air for a week and when she returned Terrence was off the next week.  So, one could only assume that they were reprimanded.  Singer Mario was on air with Rocsi last week, and he read a card from Terrence sending his apology.  Glad to see that the two are working together again, but it doesn't seem the same--a lil dull if you ask me.  I barely watch the show as is, but when I do tune in I hope to see some enthusiasm.

Did you watch the fuel between the two that started it all? What do you think of the return?

Sushi, Sushi, Sushi.  Where have all the good sushi chefs gone? I am sitting here craving sushi right now.  I found this great sushi chef at a place called Captain Jack.  I like to think the best in Sacramento, but of course he relocated.  How did I miss his departure? I love sushi so much that sometimes I wish I could eat it everyday--but, sushi is a bit fattening (too many calories to eat everyday).  Right now, I wish that I had some sort of crunchy roll... shrimp, salmon, avocado, plenty of white sauce and tobiko.  Yummy!

Do you crave sushi? Where's your favorite sushi restaurant located?

This is pure comedy.  A 34 year old Cincinnati woman was arrested during a sex sting at the Days Inn--her crime, trading sex for gasoline.  The woman was allegedly paid with a $100 gas card.  I know that the price of gas is outrageous, but come on.  You know that things are bad when people are selling their body for gas.  Well, I guess she took the term 'filler up' to heart.

There has been a lot of media attention about the new "genetically rare" twins that were born this month.  Although, they are twins the two look nothing alike--one has brown skin and brown eyes, while the other twin has white skin and blue eyes.  I understand that many people are fascinated by this but I'm not.  Many children in African-American families have different complexion, facial features, etc. compared to their siblings.  I can use this example by the children in my own family--cousins, nieces, siblings... we're all various shades.

So, I don't understand why this story is being made out to be bigger than what I believe it is. Of course they look different that happens with fraternal twins.  Also, the twins father is German and their mother is Black.  Um, duh... couldn't that explain the reason a brown baby and a white baby were born to the same parents?

All i'm saying is that, this happens with DNA, and I'm really annoyed by scientist making statements like, the parents probably had ancestors from the others race.  What kind of rationalization is that? We're all mixed up.  I understand how people would want to discuss...but, my gripe is making this story out to be more than what it is.  I could keep going on this topic, but I'll let it go. lol.  The documentary Black In America briefly discussed this topic.  It airs again Saturday and Sunday on CNN.  Let me know what you think, is this 'genetic rarity' a fascination?

Barack Obama gave a speech today in Berlin to more than 200,000 people.  I didn't have a chance to listen to the whole speech but from what I was able to hear, it sounded good.  Although, he's being criticized by McCain's camp--calling his speech, "a premature victory lap."  Ummmmm....that's all I'm going to say.

The part that I caught, Obama talked about unity and how countries need to stop being so divided.  I absolutely agree! It is so important to vote...I can't express that enough.  I'm not really surprised by the amount of people who aren't registered...well, maybe just a little bit.  There's absentee ballots (all you have to do is mail it back).

I usually don't discuss politics.  Mostly, because I learned early on that people never agree on religion and politics.  Also, my parents raised me not to discuss and that it's personal.  However, this year is different.  I urge my generation to use our voice and speak up.

Finally, all the blood, sweat and tears of people before me has made a real impact.  This is the first year for a woman to run and possibly a black man to become president.  Amazing...

Are you registered to vote, and what are your thoughts on Barack Obama and John McCain's campaign?

Cnn has a wonderful documentary on called Black in America.  It's being hosted by correspondent Soledad O'Brien.  I couldn't sleep last night, so I stayed up until 3 am watching... very well written and produced.  The documentary is important for people of all races to watch--not just black people.  It talks about the struggles, hardships, health care crisis, education, and how black people have overcome many adversities and obstacles.  The documentary comes on again tonight, and will discuss Black Men in America.  Let me know what you think about the documentary...

Ok, I'm not really into women's basketball but I was drawn to the WNBA brawl between LA and Detroit... What in the world??? All I could see was that Candace Parker and Pierson from Detroit's team somehow got tangled and began wrestling one another.  Players were jumping in, Detroit's coach was trying to break things up but shoved Lisa Leslie, and then he was whacked... too much drama! LA won 84-81 but was it deserved? I'm not certain what their consequences will be, but I do believe someone needs to be suspended.  Did you watch, thoughts?

Who is this Michael Savage guy from Talk Radio? And, first and foremost why is he so 'out of pocket'?

So, I listened to him as he made some pretty outlandish comments regarding autistic children.  He seriously believes what he sells---um, are u serious?  He was quoted as saying, "They don't have a father around to tell them, don't act like a moron. You'll get nowhere in life... Straighten up. Act like a man. Don't sit there crying and screaming, idiot."

I do agree with Mr. Savage on one thing, there does seem to be an increase in the autistic diagnosis; however, this has NOTHING to do with parenting from the father.  Degrading and humiliating a child does not motivate nor does it encourage.  There are other ways.  Autism is a neurological disorder, it affects the nervous system.  I have worked with special needs and autistic children, and that's why I can say without a doubt his comments are ridiculous.

From my own personal experience, many of the children that I've worked with come from a two-parent household (the parents typically separated after the diagnosis because of the stress).  While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this doesn't help find a cure for autism and it certainly doesn't help those who want to be educated.  He attempted to defend his statements on Larry King last night, but to that I say 'get serious.'

Do you know a child with special needs, and what do you think of Michael Savage comments?

What is really going on? An unknown man is threatening to leap to his death from the Senate Building in Washington DC.  There's no information being released except for the fact that an interpreter was called in.  Jes people... First off what is this guy doing in the Senate Building? I don't even have many words for this topic.  It's just ridiculous.  We should just prepare ourselves for more people to surface out the woodwork since November election is approaching real soon.

Oh my dang, I caught a clip of Wendy William's new talk show on the internet and it is good.  The clip that I saw was with Kim Kardashian.  Wendy was hillarious asking Kim about Khloe going to jail...you could tell that Kim didn't really want to go into the drama, but Wendy didn't care.  Her show is definitely going to be a hit.  However, I'm a little upset that it's mainly showing on the east coast right now--oh, and Los Angeles.  But, I hope that it'll open up to other markets soon...

Have you seen her show? ... Let me know your thoughts.

When we change our number to rid ourselves from the past, does it ever really escape us?

After two years of having the same ol' number Mollie decided that she wanted a new one.  So, she changed her number and didn't give it to a soul except for family and close friends.  Finally it seemed like her past was behind her; no more ex's to drive her crazy, and other people whom she desperately wanted out of her life.

Just as she crawled into her queen size bed to take an afternoon nap she noticed her cellphone was flashing a call.  She grabbed the phone to only see the words 'Restricted Call' appear.  Restricted Calls annoyed Mollie and rarely did she answer, but she figured it was a business call.  "Who the fuck is this calling," she said aloud right before she picked up.

"Hello," Mollie answered.  "Hey, is this Jackolyn," 'Mr. Caller' asked.  "You have the wrong number."  "O, really, I have the wrong number?" he said in a condescending tone.  "Um, yeah--there's no one here with that name," Mollie responded.

Mollie expected the conversation to end there, but the caller wouldn't stop talking, and she couldn't help but think about a certain 'X'.  Deep down Mollie wondered if 'Mr. Caller' was really 'Mr. G.D'.  Mollie and 'Mr. G.D' had only dated for a few months but occassionally had sex after the break up.  She bragged to her friends about him from time to time, and contimplated calling him but decided it would be a bad idea.

As she listened to 'Mr. Caller', she wondered why she thought about 'Mr. G.D, and if sex was really the root of all evil--rather than money.

"Have you received a lot of calls asking for Jackolyn?"
"No, I haven't," Mollie assured him.  Two mintues, too long, Mollie and 'Mr. Caller' continued to go back and forth.  Once she realized where the conversation was going, she knew that someone was playing on the phone.

'Mr. Caller' then made a remark that would end the conversation.  "I heard that this is a really good number, if you know what I mean," he said laughing.  Mollie was shocked and hung up.

In that moment, Mollie realized that no matter how much she tried to escape her past, there would always be someone to remind her.

Why is it that even after a break up, we still find ourselves wanting to make up?

Justin and Tina had been broken up for over three years; occasionally, she would receive a random text or call.  Months had passed since she last heard from her 'X' until Friday afternoon when he called her.  "Hey, this is Justin, how are you doing?" He anxiously asked her.  Tina was flabbergasted.  "I've been cool--just working, hanging out... What's up?" she asked him.  After 10 minutes of conversation and laughter, he invited her over.  Tina accepted and went to see her 'X.'  When she arrived at his house she was happy to see him, but in the back of her mind she wondered if she was making a mistake.  They watched movies, ate popcorn, and reminisced about old times.

"It's getting late," she turned to Justin and said.  "You can spend the night, I'll sleep on the couch and you can sleep in my bed," Justin insisted.  Finally, Tina agreed to spend the night and was certain that 'nothing would happen.'  "That was the past," she thought to herself.

Tina was right, nothing did happen...

The next morning Tina and Justin gave each other a hug and she left, but she couldn't help but think about their night together.

Just because he's an 'X' does that mean he shouldn't exist in your life?

Let me know what you think in the comments.

Once a year women should make an appointment with their doctor to get an annual Pap Smear.  But come on--NO woman enjoys having one performed.

1. It's extremely uncomfortable.

2. You have to find time to schedule one.

3. And the most common reason, No one likes that speculum aka. (cold ass instrument in their vagina).

Mollie was never a fan of doctor's, and every year she dread going for her annual pap.  As she sat in the doctors office she waited for her name to be called.  Thirty minutes later she finally heard her name.  "Hi Mollie, lets head back," Dr. Scariface's assistant said to her.  With a frown on her face, she could feel her body in a state of panic.

Although, she was 21 and this was her third examination she couldn't help but feel that something would go wrong.  "Hello Mollie, I need you to undress, put on this gown, and lean all the way back," Dr. Scariface instructed and left the room.  Mollie trusted her doctor, and so, she leaned back.  As she looked up towards the ceiling she noticed the message on the wall that read, "smile it's almost over."  "Thank goodness," Mollie said aloud.

As Dr. Scariface returned with his assistant he began examining her. As he proceeded to put the 'cold ass instrument' in her vagina, she jerked away and slightly let out a screech.  "Aw, that doesn't feel cool at all."  "I'm so sorry, so sorry, can I continue ?" he asked in a shaky voice.  "Sure," she said reluctantly.

"I just don't like anyone touching me down there, except for my boyfriend," she said to her doctor.  "I'm almost done," Dr. Scariface said.  "Ok," she said.  She closed her eyes and allowed Dr. Scariface to finish the pap smear from hell.  For nearly 20 more minutes the two played tug-o-war.  He poked, she pulled, he tugged, and so on.

Finally, Mollie was done but walked away fearful of getting another pap smear.  She immediately called her friend and told her all about the nightmare.  "Next time," she paused.  "I'll make an appointment with Dr. Sandra Niceface, because Dr. Scariface totally confused my vagina for his anatomy," the two laughed, but Mollie wondered if others had similar stories.

SIDENOTE: Pap Smears are essential in detecting early stages of cervical cancer.  Do women really need to go every year? Well, I've always been told the earlier the better-- unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

According to womenshealth.gov, about 13,000 women in America will find out that they have cervical cancer.  And, in 2004, 3,500 women died as a result of going untreated (http://www.womenshealth.gov/).  So, women... I guess this is just one of those subjects that isn't debatable.  Schedule your annual pap smear... And, that reminds me, I need to schedule one too.

Do you dread the doctor annually? Let me know.
