Last night I went to the E40 concert.  I got to see my brother which was great.  No comment on the concert itself.  I didn't get to take good quality pictures, because I can't figure out the settings for night time on my camera.  It's a super cute pink Casio Exilim camera.  If anyone knows how to work it please respond and let me know.

So, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I spent my time giving Thanks to the wonderful workers at Straub Hospital in Honolulu.  I got really sick and I had to go to the emergency room.  No FUN!!!!! The staff was great.  Not that I plan on getting sick again, but if it happens, I definitely know where to spend my recovery time.  After six hours in the emergency, I came out feeling a little bit better.  And, one of my friend's brought me a plate of home cooked Thanksgiving food--so nice of her.  Before I went to Straub's, I went to another hospital that was closer in distance, but they turned me away.  Well, I take that back, I was told unless I pay close to $200, I couldn't be seen.  I thought that if it's an emergency they're not supposed to turn you away... I won't mention the hospital by name, but here are some clues: you have to be a MEMBER, it starts with a K, and it sponsors many organizations and charities (not too charitable when it came to me), any guesses????  How was your Thanksgiving??? Did you eat lots of Turkey and Stuffing for me???

Beyond the craziest story I've ever heard.

A young man went to "Journey's" (shoe store) in Kansas City , MO. He bought a pair of shoes and then saw an identical pair at a different store for less.  As such, he bought the identical shoes from the cheaper store and took back the original more pricey pair to Journey's. Later on that night, as he has reviewing the receipt, he noticed that the reason for the return was "Dumb N*gger". When he took the receipt back to the store, they didn't even apologize but did admit that said "reason" was in the system. click the video link below : KmbcNews
Can you believe the absurdity? Thoughts??????

Allegedly, There is a class action lawsuit against Victoria's Secret bras.  The claim is that, the company uses a toxin called formaldehyde in making some bras.  The toxin is being researched and some reports are linking Victoria's Secret bra injuries to the chemical.  Individuals who have been exposed to the chemical will most likely experience symptoms similar to Eczema: swelling, red, irritated, rash on the skin.  You can read more about it, click here

My sister is very gifted in the art of "hooking your hair up."  She doesn't just specialize in black hair either-she's international up in here.  I'm sure you all remember when she was on the set of GoodDay Sacramento a couple months ago and did a few of the ladies hair.  Well, she's back! Recently, my sister had the opportunity of returning to GDS.  She did News Anchor Courtney Dempsey's hair and did such a great job.  I tell ya, since we were kids she's been able to do magic on hair.  If you need your hair laid, blessed, and done the right way and you live near the Sacramento area inquire at Itsmyhair

How do you think Courtney's hair turned out??? And, do you have a favorite way you like your hair to be styled????

I have a confession.  When I don't go out on the weekends I like to crawl into bed, eat a snack, and watch old school movies.  LOL.  Typically, I enjoy eating trail mix, but it must include raisins, peanuts, and sunflower seeds.  My other craving is pasta.  This weekend I'm watching two movies Sex and The City: The Movie, and Friday. "Man, you must be a stupid ..... to get fired on your day off," Smokey.  That's my favorite line from Friday.

What's your favorite weekend movie, and do you have a favorite line from a movie?

I just saw a preview of Real Housewives of Atlanta's reunion episode which airs in two weeks.  So good! NeNe looked liked she wanted to beat Kim dowwwwnnn.  I don't even have cable right now, but I'm trying to hurry up and get it--just for this drama.  Lisa and Kim apparently got into it a while back, because Kim allegedly said some harsh and untrue things about Lisa and her parenting skills, so it was no shock when Lisa began cursing Kim out.  This reunion might be better than The Bad Girls Club Reunion, do you remember that? LOL.  I'll try and post the preview clip shortly.

Nation of Islam leader, Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan addressed the nation this morning, America's New Beginning; President-Elect Barack Obama live via webcast and available to the public.  Farrakhan discussed the crisis in America and the steps Obama will need to take in becoming "successful, in the spirit of God's hands," he said to the crowd.

The nation's leader also talked about children and higher education, and the importance of obtaining degree's that are useful rather than a degree that will get you out of school the fastest.

And about, receiving stimulus checks and how it might serve as a disservice rather than aid the country out of debt.

A Russian Navy submarine doing a test run in the Pacific Ocean claims the lives of more than 20 people aboard.  According to navy spokesman Captain Igor Dygalo, "The nuclear reactor aboard the submarine was operating normally and radiation levels were normal.  "The accident occurred when a fire-extinguishing system went into operation in error aboard the submarine," Capt. Dygalo.

Aboard the sub were 208 people, including 81 servicemen.  It's still unclear what caused the fire-extingushing system to operate in error--taking the lives sailors and shipbuilders.

It was Russia's worst naval accident since explosions sank another nuclear-powered submarine, the Kursk, in the Barents Sea in 2000, killing all 118 seamen aboard. In 2003, 11 people died when a submarine that was being taken out of service also sank in the Barents Sea.

Last night my friends and I went out for Halloween.  There were a few mishaps and not the best Halloween.  We ended up going to Waikiki to walk the strip and take pictures of all the crazy in the streets, but I didn't get to take any pictures.  Definitely not the best night.  If I decide to dress up next year hopefully it will be better.  Did you dress up? How was your Halloween????

The only picture that I did manage to take was of myself at a friend's house dressed as a playboy bunny.
