About Lodie

Salatha Helton 'Lodie' was born in San Francisco, California on March 25, 1982. Having such a big imagination at an early age lead her to writing, and by six years old she was writing poetry and short stories.
When Lodie was in the six grade she realized that she didn't just want to be a writer, she also wanted to mentor, educate, entertain, and counsel. Years later she would work towards achieving her goals. She has a Bachelors of Art in Journalism and Writing, and currently is pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
She has dedicated her time towards helping underprivledged and autistic children. Lodie believes that helping people is the one gift that all people can give back to their community. Having seen her father work hard as an entrepreneur, she is eager to be a successful business woman.
Lodie has had her work published in a few publications, and her much anticipated book of poems, "Diary of a Skinny Girl" is now available for purchase through Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Xlibris.com). Lodie loves traveling and experiencing new things. She has lived in California, Alabama, Hawaii and Nevada.
'Lodie' is of course still single but isn't letting that get her down. Her future plans include building her website, writing more books, continuing her education in therapy, and just to enjoy life.
